THE FLAWS OF AN ELECTION

it is popular to talk about the famous seven wonders of the world . these include physical structures . peharps i should mention in passing that to the Ancient, the figure 7 carried special metaphysical significance. for example the seven church of asia, the seven golden candlesticks of the Apocalypse, the seven noble christian youth of ephesus who slept for 187years .
i would like to posit, however that the greatest wonder of human experienceis the concept of democracy. the ancient greeks concieved it over 2,500 years ago in the city ( not nation-state) of Athens. All the heroes who were associated with the abstrctions or conception of democracy Solon, Kleisthenes, Pericles (aLL Aristocrats) neverever had the foggiest expectationthat it would evolve into a universal model or standard or bench-mark for good governance or good government. when we say that a government is democracticaly elected we mean that government elected through a transparently free and fair election, and government legitmacyis firmly achored on this.
the popular buzz all over is that we had SELECTION and no ELECTION IN NIGERIA . Votes were alloted much ahead of election day.their relative distributions between candidates or parties were agreed upon in the satanic caucuses by the ruling so called MEGA pARTY. Voting or the THUMB-PRINTING exercise ostensibly intended for unfetted PERSONAL exercise of the franchise was completedat agreed hide-outs long before election days, thus what we had was largely stuffing of ballot boxes with pre arranged and completde voters register.
In their haste to cheat , to rig ,to prostitute the electoral process; they even in some cases declare or allot to the PDP WINNER MORE VOTES than the number of registered voters . A typical example was the scandalous, outragoeous and sordid case of Anambra State, where the chairman of INEC Mr MAURICE IWU Alloted 1.9 milllionvotes to the pdp winner mr Andy Uba when the total registered voters of the state were 1.7milllion
